Frequently asked
How much does the trip cost?
Total cost varies year to year based on flights and ground expenses. Once you create a candidate account, you'll receive the current year's full cost breakdown - flights, lodging, ground transport, food, and team supplies.
How does fundraising work?
Most of our team raises support letters to friends, family, and their church community. We provide a fundraising guide, sample letters, and a giving link so donors can contribute toward your trip.
How much time off work do I need?
Plan for roughly 9–10 days off for the trip itself (Sept 24–30 plus travel days), plus monthly team meetings in the months leading up.
Is it safe?
Thailand is stable and our hosts on the ground are deeply experienced. We do not cross into Laos - the Lao pastors come to us. We brief the team on safety, health, and cultural expectations.
What if I don't have a passport?
You'll need a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining beyond the trip end date. Apply early - processing can take months.
What will I actually do?
You'll be placed on a team based on gifting and need: construction, vehicle maintenance, kids/classroom, women's ministry, pastor training support, business, or logistics. Each team has a leader and a daily plan.
